We owe them houses of cheer"; "YWCA") encouraging people to support the war effort by helping the women of France, who had been doing the work that men had done while they were off at war or being killed. The poster features Lucien Jonas art of several women working in a smelter as others enter a YWCA building in the background. Artist: Lucien Jonas Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster was never folded. It had pinholes, tears, and small paper loss around the edges.
