An Unfolded Norwegian Travel Poster (measures 24 3/4" x 39 1/4" [63 x 100 cm]) (Learn More) The Norwegian America Line (Den Norske Amerikalinje) was a cruise ship line founded in 1910. After the World War I (WWI), the company was one of Norway's largest shipping lines, owning a fleet that included 19 vessels, several of which were for commercial cargo transport. After the World War II (WWII) heavy ships losses were overcome by the building of new vessels, however the reduction in the passengers' traffic by sea shifted the company's focus mainly to the cargo business, including container and bulk shipping from the 1970s. Artist: Inger Skjensvold Sorensen Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Norwegian travel poster! Condition: very good to fine. The poster was never folded.
