Condition: good to very good. The poster had a faint brown water stain at the top crossfold and staining at the bottom crossfold. There were creases, smudges and some small tears along the foldlines, and in the solid background areas. The borders of the poster had creases, smudges, tears, and areas of paper loss. The person who did the restoration put new blank white paper over all the borders to even out the appearance (but the small writing at the bottom of the poster was not covered over). This is a common technique used by several top restorers. It is done so well that the majority of collectors are not even aware it has been done, and many do not feel it to be a significant detraction (since it is only blank white area). Overall, the poster was in good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was fairly well backed, and displays pretty well, but you can see signs of the restoration.
