An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (LC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) The Haunted House, the 1928 Benjamin Christensen horror comedy ("Packed to the rafter with thrills"; about people gathering at a house to hear the reading of a will; a plot that would be reused many many times!) starring Chester Conklin, Thelma Todd, Larry Kent, Edmund Breese, Montagu Love (as the Mad Doctor), Sidney Bracey, William V. Mong, Barbara Bedford, and Flora Finch. Note that this is a "lost" film which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have previously auctioned seven lobby cards from this movie, but we have never before auctioned THIS card! We are also currently auctioning a different scene card from this movie in a separate auction, and we had also never auctioned that one either! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. There is brown tape in the middle of the top border and in the middle of the right border. The tape in the right border was put there to cover two tears. The tape in the top border was apparently put there so that someone could write in the funny homemade tagline "FRANKENSTEIN WAS A SISSY COMPARED TO..." Since the one piece of tape is entirely in the blank border and the other is almost completely in the blank border, they certainly could be removed by a talented amateur or professional, with or without backing the card. There was a crease in the bottom right corner, and someone put the same tape on the back of that area. But other than the above border defects, this ultra rare card has survived in pretty nice condition (see our image). Learn More about condition grades
