Artist: Al Hirschfeld Important Added Info: Note that for this movie, Paramount made two different styles of half-sheet. One has a standard image of the top stars. But the other, the style A, has wonderful full-color cartoon art of the cast in scenes from the movie, all by the great Al Hirschfeld! We have only previously auctioned this poster once before, and it sold for $361. Also note that this poster has never been machine folded! Some pre-1970 half-sheet posters were machine folded twice horizontally at the poster exchange, while some were not. It can be difficult to find an unfolded example of many pre-1970 half-sheet posters (note that most post-1970 half-sheets were NOT machine folded, so they are pretty much only found unfolded, and therefore this does not apply to those half-sheets). Condition: good to very good. The poster was never folded. It has many creases, smudges, and scuffs around the edges, but very few within the image, although there is a faint diagonal crease starting at top center and running into the top left background area. There is a pinhole in the center of the poster and a few in the borders. The poster can be displayed and enjoyed as it is, or certainly, it is an excellent candidate for restoration, since most of the defects are in the blank borders. Learn More about condition grades
