During the Mobil Showcase presentation of 'The World of Magic'"; "Special Guest Stars Orson Welles, Bill Cosby, Julie Newmar" "By Doug Henning starring in 'The Magic Show' one of Broadway's brightest recent hits"; "Remember this will be a live broadcast of a breathtaking feat never attempted before under these circumstances.") promoting the live broadcast of Doug Henning attempting the famous Water Torture Escape designed by Harry Houdini, and featuring Seymour Chwast art of Henning being restrained upside-down in the chamber. Note that the show was actually titled "Doug Henning's The World of Magic", and it starred Doug Henning, Bill Cosby, Gene Kelly (who replaced Orson Welles at the last minute), Julie Newmar, Lori Lieberman, and Haruo Shimada NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Orson Welles was scheduled to appear, and he is billed on this poster, but at the last minute, he was replaced by Gene Kelly, and they didn't bother to print new posters! What IS linenbacking?
