Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Half-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 22" x 28") (Learn More) Devil Girl From Mars, the 1954 (released in the U.S. in 1955) David MacDonald English science fiction (sci-fi) fantasy Red Planet bad space-girl thriller ("Earth Menaced by Fantastic Powers"; "The Fantastic night of Terror that menaced the fate of the world!"; "Was she woman or monster?"; "Invasion from outer space... sights too weird to imagine! Destruction too monstrous to escape!"; "Produced by The Danzigers Edward J. Danziger, Harry Lee Danziger"; an absurd story of Martian men all dying, so the Martian women naturally want to come to the Earth and kidnap a bunch of Earth men so they can repopulate their planet!) starring Hugh McDermott, Hazel Court, Peter Reynolds, Adrienne Corri, Joseph Tomelty, Sophie Stewart, John Laurie, and Patricia Laffan (in the title role as Nyah, the Devil Girl from Mars!). Obviously, this is not like the sci-fi titles that try hard to be "authentic", like Red Planet Mars or Day the Earth Stood Still, but if you don't mind silliness in your sci-fi, this movie is for you! Whoever linenbacked this poster did next-to-no restoration and so you can still somewhat see its minor defects which include: minor separation and tiny paper loss at the crossfold; scuff lines, minor creases, and smudges throughout the poster; several tack holes throughout the poster (more so around the edges); left 1" folded back at one time; 3/4" tear in the lower right edge of the poster; If you are condition conscious, you should not bid on this poster. However, if you can accept the fact that it has minor defects (that are very noticeable from close-up, but not that noticeable from any distance away), or if you are willing to have further restoration done on it, then I think you will be happy with it. But please do not bid on this poster unless you are willing to accept its defects or have it re-restored. Also note that all of the excess linen has been trimmed from around the edges of the poster.
