An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Private Detective 62, the 1933 Michael Curtiz spy espionage romantic murder crime gambling comedy melodrama (a complicated story of an American secret agent in France who is discovered trying to steal French secrets, and he is fired, and he can't get a job, so he goes in partnership with an incompetent detective, and they get involved with a crime boss who is trying to avoid paying a beautiful customer her gambling casino winnings, and after many twists and turns, the crime boss is dead, and the secret agent turned detective falls in love with the beautiful gambler!) starring William Powell, Margaret Lindsay, Arthur Byron, Ruth Donnelly, Gordon Westcott, and Arthur Hohl NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that we have only previously auctioned one example of this title card, and that was 7 years ago, when it sold for $395 (and that example was in "good" condition)! Also note that we have a scan of both the front and the back of this lobby card, which should greatly help you see what defects it has. Condition: good to very good. The card had pinholes, tears, and some paper loss around the edges, mostly in the blank borders, but extending into the top left corner of the background. It also had a most unusual defect. It is overprinted on the back, with information from a Spanish movie theater, but very fortunately, that overprinting does not affect the front. Someone had restoration performed to the border defects without backing the card, and it was done well, and this extremely rare card will display great on the new owner's wall, but bear all of the above in mind before bidding.
