An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Style A One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Romantic Age, the 1927 Robert Florey silent romantic love triangle melodrama (from the story by Dorothy Howell; about a wealthy man with a female ward, and he mistakenly thinks she is in love with his younger brother, but after he rescues her from a fire, he realizes that he is her true love, and all ends happily!) starring Eugene O'Brien, Alberta Vaughn, Burt Woodruff, and Stanley Taylor NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. The poster had small paper loss at the crossfolds and some creases and dots of paper loss on parts of some foldlines, and some pinholes and tears in the borders. The bottom blank border had been entirely trimmed off. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. Unfortunately, the poster was poorly linenbacked, and it was glued incorrectly, and there are now ripples and bubbles scattered throughout the poster (another restorer could remove the poster from this old linen and properly re-restore it, but that might be quite expensive, so bear that in mind before placing a bid on this poster).
