An Original Vintage Theatrical 8 1/4" x 10" (8.25x10) Movie Still (Learn More) Emil und die Detektive (released in English-speaking countries as "Emil and the Detectives"), the 1931 Gerhard Lamprecht German juvenile detective mystery adventure thriller (based on the novel by Erich Kastner, with a screenplay by Billy Wilder; about a boy traveling to relatives and his pocket is picked on a train, and he gathers some other boys to try to find the crook, and it turns out the pickpocket is part of a gang planning a robbery, which the boys foil) starring Rolf Wenkhaus (in the title role as Emil), Kathe Haack, Fritz Rasp, Rudolf Biebrach, Olga Engl, and Inge Landgut. Note that this movie was re-made just four years later in England, and again in 1954 in Germany, and in 1964 by Walt Disney in the United States! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still was found in a European archive, and it seems likely that it is from a European release of this German movie, and that this is not an original German still.
