An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Teaser Argentinean Movie Poster (measures 29 1/4" x 43 1/4" [74 x 110 cm]) (Learn More)

Les Parapluies de Cherbourg (released in the U.S. in 1965 as "The Umbrellas of Cherbourg"), the classic 1964 Jacques Demy French/German romantic doomed romance musical ("For all the young lovers of the world"; "A film for all the young lovers of the world"; "In song and color"; "Set to music by Michel Legrand"; a filmed operetta where everyone sings every line) starring Catherine Deneuve, Nino Castelnuovo, Anne Vernon, Marc Michel, Ellen Farner, Mireille Perry, and Harald Wolff. Note that just about everyone agrees this is a wonderful movie. In addition to the fine acting and writing, the voices were dubbed in, and yet it was done so well that most viewers don't realize this at all (and since all the dialog is sung, this means that the actors did not get to say one word!).

Important Added Info: Note that we have never before auctioned this Argentinean teaser poster (note the complete lack of credits on the poster).

There is some darkening and slight staining in parts of the vertical fold. Obviously, this poster can be restored, and the above defects can be corrected, but bear this in mind before bidding on this extremely rare poster.
