A 1956 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Chapter #6 ("A Fiend in Disguise") Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) The Monster and the Ape, the 1945 Howard Bretherton science fiction (sci-fi) horror serial ("Amazing! Fantastic! Weird! Thrilling!"; "A Columbia Chapter Play") starring Robert Lowery, George Macready, Ralph Morgan, Carole Mathews, Willie Best, and Ray Corrigan (uncredited as "Thor" the ape!). Note that Crash Corrigan made a REALLY wise investment in the 1930s, when he bought a "gorilla suit". In many of the movies in the 1940s where there is a fake gorilla, it is played by Crash Corrigan, no doubt because he could supply the suit! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that the lobby card says "A COLUMBIA SERIAL REPRINT" in the lower left corner. This was a terminology used by Columbia Pictures at this time for some re-releases, and it has caused some collectors to be confused! This lobby card is the original lobby card from the 1956 re-release of this movie, and is NOT a "reprint"! Condition: good to very good.
