Note that Ryan O'Neal had achieved success playing Rodney Harrington in TV's "Peyton Place" from 1964 to 1969, but this was his very first movie. He had married Leigh Taylor-Young in 1967, and in 1968, she was in "I Love You, Alice B. Toklas", and then the following year, the husband and wife co-starred in this movie.
