Pathe News was a producer of newsreels and documentaries from 1910 to 1970. Its founder, Charles Pathe, was a pioneer of moving pictures. The newsreels were shown in the cinema and were silent until 1928. At first, they ran for about four minutes and were issued fortnightly. By 1930, Pathe was covering news, entertainment, sport, culture, and more.
Important Added Info: Note that these stills, which surely date from around 1929, when Pathe News changed their name to Pathe Sound News are certainly very cool, because they show male and female photographers with their cameras. But the third still shows a Pathe Sound News parked in front of a building (oddly on the sidewalk), and that building has ads on the window for the "REO" car, and the specific ad on the left is for REO's new Gold Crown Speedwagon engine which was decades before a famous rock band would adopt REO Speedwagon as their name!

Condition: very good. On of the stills was slightly trimmed in the blank borders. They have somewhat changed color (see our images).
