An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41" [69 x 104 cm]) (Learn More) Zaza, the 1939 George Cukor France romantic love triangle melodrama ("From the play by Pierre Berton and Charles Simon"; about a sexy singer in a French music hall who falls in love with a married aristocrat; Colbert plays a part that five years before would surely have been played by Marlene Dietrich!) starring Claudette Colbert (in the title role as Zaza), Herbert Marshall, Bert Lahr, Helen Westley, Constance Collier, Genevieve Tobin, Walter Catlett, and Ann Todd (not the famous actress, but a child actress with the same name, who was the fourth cousin of the wife of Abraham Lincoln!) We have only auctioned one in all our years of auctioning and that was in 2015! Condition: good. Most of the fold edges have significant separation (especially at top and bottom) and some vertical separation in the crossfolds (these areas make the poster somewhat fragile to handle). There is small and paper loss in each crossfold.
