Join the Bumsteads!"; "The Bumsteads go all out for defense ... of fun and happiness!"; "Based upon the comic strip created by Chic Young"; one of the highly successful series of "Blondie" movies, based on the classic Blondie comic strip by Chic Young; the Bumsteads join the war effort when Blondie organizes Housewives of America, but Dagwood and the other husbands get lonely, so they threaten to join the Army, which causes Blondie to disband her organization, which seems surprising, given that the movie was designed to encourage Americans to sacrifice to help the war effort, but it was made early on in the war!) starring Penny Singleton (in the title role as Blondie), Arthur Lake (as Dagwood Bumstead), Larry Simms, Stuart Erwin, Jonathan Hale, and Danny Mummert NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had small paper loss at the bottom two crossfolds and tiny paper loss at the top crossfold. It had a few tiny tears and tiny bits of paper loss on parts of some folds and some pinholes around the edges. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking.
