Martian Successor Nadesico: In The Year 2195, the 1990s Japanese action animation anime cartoon science fiction (sci-fi) melodrama ("The ship and its crew set out to save Mars"; "It's 200 years in the future. The human race has established regular space flight between the earth, the moon, and Mars and has even manufactured vast space liners. Large-scale colonization of Mars has also been accomplished. Then, in the year 2195, Mars suddenly comes under attack from Jupiter. The terrestrial allies determine that the invaders are unidentified life forms - "aliens". In 2196, the private business group Nergal Heavy Industries puts the finishing touchs on its giant battle cruiser, Nadesico. The ship and its crew set out to save Mars.")
