Invisible! Insatiable!"; "Something is happening! Send your men of science quick! The panic stricken cry went over the phone to Washington D. C. until the lines went dead!......."; "Colliers's Magazine called it 'The nightmare that threatens the world!'"; "Based on the Collier's Magazine Serial by Jack Finney"; about aliens invading Earth by replacing people with alien counterparts that grow as pods, and then take over the person's identity when the person falls asleep; one by one, a town is taken over, and the few remaining unaffected people try to stop them and get the word out, but they are stopped at every turn; most people see this as a thinly veiled parable of the activities of the House Un-American Activities Committee, which found "Communists" behind every door in Hollywood!; others protest that it greatly borrowed the plot of Robert A. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: good. There are patches of discoloration mostly in the top and bottom third of the poster and in a few fainter areas at center. There are a few tiny blank border tears (one is repaired with tape at right). There is an extra horizontal crease under the top horizontal fold. This is the kind of poster that responds really well to restoration. It is likely that much or most of the discoloration can be removed chemically, and after paperbacking with some proper restoration the poster will display well, but bear in mind the poster's condition and the cost of restoration before bidding on it.
