Date Sold 10/30/2018Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. A Vintage 1945 World War II Agreement Copy (measures 14" x 20" [36 x 51 cm]) (Learn More) Instrument of Surrender was the 1945 written agreement that formalized the surrender of the Empire of Japan, marking the end of World War II (WWII). The signing took place on the deck of the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay on September 2nd. Important Added Info: Note that we don't know for certain, but it seems very likely that after the Japanese surrender in 1945, copies of the agreement were likely made and widely distributed to the public, and this is one of those copies. We believe it surely dates from 1945, but we don't know anything more about it, including how it would have been distributed. Please do not bid on this unless you can accept these uncertainties about its origins. Condition: good to very good. Learn More about condition grades
