An Original Vintage Theatrical Unfolded British Quad Movie Poster (BQ; Quad Crown; measures approximately 30" x 40") (Learn More) the undated (probably 1980s) English double-bill release of Mad Max, the classic 1980 George Miller Australian post-apocalyptic futuristic science fiction (sci-fi) action crime thriller ("The warrior of the road"; "The Maximum Force of the Future.") starring Mel Gibson, Joanne Samuel, Hugh Keays-Byrne, Steve Bisley, Tim Burns and Roger Ward AND Mad Max II (Two): The Road Warrior, the 1982 George Miller Australian post-apocalyptic action science fiction (sci-fi) thriller ("In the future, cities will become deserts, roads will become battlefields and the hope of mankind will appear as a stranger.") starring Mel Gibson, Bruce Spence and Michael Preston. Note that this movie was first released in Australia as a sequel to Mad Max, and was titled Mad Max 2. The movie was a giant hit and distributors wanted to release it in the U.S., but since the first movie had only had a very limited release in the U.S., they re-titled it so as to not confuse audiences (but they printed a limited number of "Mad Max 2" one-sheets in the U.S., which are far more rare than the "The Road Warrior" U.S. one-sheets).
