The Children's Hour (released outside the U.S. as "The Loudest Whisper"), the 1962 William Wyler romantic homosexual gay lesbian boarding school teacher tragedy ("Different..."; "Because of the adult nature of its theme-this motion picture is not recommended for children"; "Because of the mature nature of its theme-this motion picture is recommended for adults only."; "From the play by Lillian Hellman"; there had been a 1930s adaptation of this play called "These Three", but it removed the lesbian element, and they had to drastically alter the plot!) starring Audrey Hepburn, Shirley MacLaine, James Garner, Miriam Hopkins (who had starred in the original version!), Fay Bainter (nominated for the Best Supporting Actress Academy Award for this film), Karen Balkin (billed as "introducing Karen Balkin"), Veronica Cartwright, and Mimi Gibson

Condition: good to very good. pair of staple holes in Hepburn's cheek at upper left as well as a 1 1/2" "u" shaped tear in the lower right between the credits and title area (repaired with clear tape from the front)

left and right 2 1/2" folded back at one time; minor creases and smudges throughout the poster (more so around the edges); pairs of staple holes around the edges of the poster including some along the left and right extra vertical foldlines; two small tears in the lower right edge (repaired with tape from the front)
