An Autographed 3" x 4 1/4" Piece of Paper (Learn More) Ed Sullivan was a television host from the 1940s to the 1970s. He is best remembered for hosting the long running musical variety television (TV) series "The Ed Sullivan Show" from 1949 to 1971 (everybody who was anybody appeared on his show, including the greatest stars of the time, but he also had an odd fondness for Chinese acrobats, a talking mouse puppet named Topo Gigio, and the world's greatest ventriloquist Senor Wences appeared many times), but for many years before that, he wrote an influential newspaper gossip column called "The Talk of the Town". He memorably played himself in "Bye Bye Birdie". Sullivan passed away in 1974 at the age of 73. Important Added Info: Note that this piece of paper has been personally autographed (signed) by Ed Sullivan. The paper could be matted with a vintage or repro still and framed together to make a cool display! Note that this item has been trimmed and it now measures 3" x 4 1/4" [8 x 11 cm]. Note that our consignor has been a memorabilia dealer for the past 30 years, and he tells us that he is certain this autograph is authentic. He says that he will give the new purchaser 30 days to be certain (perhaps they might want to get it authenticated), and that if the new buyer has any doubts, they can return this item within 30 days (but after 30 days, his warranty will expire, and at that point, the item will no longer be returnable). Condition: good to very good. The signed piece of paper was taped to something, and there are tape stains, but they do not affect the autograph itself. Learn More about condition grades
