An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked International One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) This Property Is Condemned, the 1966 Sydney Pollack Mississippi romantic melodrama ("Alva is not the first young girl - nor will she be the last young girl - to dream that Love is lovelier somewhere else..."; "Alva wanted out - in the worst way."; "Alva shouted at her mother: 'Afraid I'll get away from you and there won't be any more men around?'"; "The man, the stranger who took over Papa's room."; "J.J. a sneer of a man. Mama's favorite boarder. He'd rather be Alva's."; "Kid sister: 'We used to have some high old times in that big yellow house.'"; "Call her what you want. Do with her what you will. But remember... 'This Property Is Condemned'"; "Alva was growing up the only way she knew how..."; "One girl, alone and single-handed, couldn't make this much of a mess of her life. She must have had help. She did. Plenty."; "Suggested by a one-act play of Tennessee Williams"; "Screenplay by Francis Ford Coppola, Fred Coe, and Edith Sommer") starring Natalie Wood (as Alva Starr), Robert Redford (in an early role), Charles Bronson, Kate Reid, Mary Badham, and Robert 'Bobby' Blake NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we believe this poster to be an "international" style. It is not marked that way, and it predates ratings, but it has a far sexier image than that of the "regular" style poster, and it also is missing the soundtrack information that is found in the bottom right corner of the "regular" style one-sheet. If anyone knows more about this poster, please e-mail us and we will post it here. Condition: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and fine surface paper loss on parts of some foldlines (typical of high-gloss posters of this period). There were some smudges, scuffs, creases, and tears around the edges of the poster. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well! Learn More about condition grades
