An Original Vintage Autographed Album Flat (measures 12" x 12") (Learn More) Iggy Pop (born James Newell 'Jim' Osterberg Jr.) is a singer, songwriter & musician from the 1960s to the present. Often called the "Godfather of Punk", he was the vocalist and lyricist of proto-punk band The Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited many times since. Throughout his collaborative and solo career, he is well known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics, poetic lyrics and distinctive voice. He was inducted as part of the Stooges into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. In January 2020, Pop received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. Note that this signed item was consigned to us by a man who worked in the movie business, and who attended many premieres and special Hollywood events.
