An Undated (probably 1948) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) Ride, Tenderfoot, Ride, the 1940 Frank McDonald singing cowboy western musical comedy starring Gene Autry, Smiley Burnette, June Storey, Mary Lee, Warren Hull, Joe Frisco, and The Pacemakers NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. This poster is a 1948 re-release, but some less-than-honest person had the restorer paint over the small words "A RE-RELEASE" that were printed under the title in the blue background area! I would imagine many people might not realize this and might purchase the poster as an original, but it is not! Otherwise, the poster had small paper loss at each crossfold and a couple of tiny areas of surface paper loss in the blue background above the brim of Autry's hat in the center of the poster. There was a small circular hole in the blue background at the upper left next to the figure on the horse. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the restoration (and of course, there is the painted out word below the title described above). Learn More about condition grades
