See below for more on what lenticular posters are. All Harry Potter collectors we have talked to agree that this is the most rare Harry Potter poster known! In the movie, there are "Wanted posters" where you could see Sirius Black laughing insanely on the poster, and Warner Bros decided to create a lenticular poster that would somewhat mimic that scene. When you move from left to right in front of this poster, the image of Sirius Black slowly disappears! We have heard that six of these posters were created, but when Warner Bros discovered how expensive they would be to mass produce, they dropped the idea, and instead made a small size version that were used with lobby standees. The six prototype large lenticulars made it into the hobby, and this is one of those six. As we said, it is believed to be the most rare Harry Potter poster there is! We have never auctioned it before, and we have only seen one other in any other auction, and that one was reported to have sold for $3,883. Lenticular posters which were first made on rare occasions in the 1960s, have a "3-dimensional" look to them, and when you look at them from a slight angle, they look one way, and then when you look at them from a different angle, they look entirely different! Note that the idea of this lenticular poster is that you see Oldman's image (as Sirius Black) from one angle and from another angle, he disappears completely, and we provided two images of this poster, both shot at angles, to allow you to see what "both" images look like, but it would be incredibly time consuming to try to get a perfect image of it where you can't see Oldman at all, so we didn't go to that effort, and please remember that you are bidding on a single poster, NOT two posters! It is said that not that many of each lenticular poster was made, likely due to the added cost of production. They can be easily damaged, and cannot be rolled tightly, as can a regular printed poster. We intend to send this poster to the new owner in a very large flat package, because we would not want the slightest chance of it becoming damaged! UPDATED 03/06/2017: Note that we have updated the Important Added Info section. Condition: very good to fine. The poster is in nice condition! Learn More about condition grades
