An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27" x 40" [69 x 102 cm]) (Learn More)

The Dam Busters, the 1955 Michael Anderson English World War II (WWII) military airplane aviation fighter pilot action thriller ("The story of the 'bombs that had to bounce' - and the air-devils who had to drop 'em!"; "They fly where no one ever flew before... They fight like men from another world!"; "The girl in the spotlight who showed them the way!"; "Flying where no one ever flew before... the made the incredible come true!"; the remarkable true story of how the English had been "blanket bombing" Germany, and they realized that this did not allow them to hit strategic targets, but then scientist/engineer Barnes Wallis invented a remarkable "bouncing bomb" that could skid along the water until it hit its target, and would then go underwater and explode like a depth charge; but this still required courageous pilots to fly under the radar of German anti-aircraft forces, and then drop their bombs close to the dams they needed to destroy, and while some of the courageous men did not survive, enough did that England destroyed key German dams, which ultimately helped England defeat Germany) starring Richard Todd, Michael Redgrave (as Barnes Wallis), Ursula Jeans, Basil Sydney, Patrick Barr, Ernest Clark, and Derek Farr

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that oddly, we have previously auctioned an English six-sheet and three-sheet, but we have never before auctioned English one-sheet (which is a "country of origin" poster for this English movie)!

Condition: good to very good. Something was taped to the back of the poster in the lower center of the image, and it bled through to the front in the bottom of the "window" (it is a thin line at the bottom; see our image). Otherwise, the poster is in really nice condition!
