What IS linenbacking? Learn More

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair. Each of the cards had part of a blank border slightly trimmed off, and each had many pinholes around the edges, with smudges and creases in varying amounts (see our images). Someone distributor glued them to a linen backing, but did not attempt to restore them at all. There is no excess linen, and the cards can be displayed exactly as a non-backed card would be. However, it appears that the cards were displayed and they are now all faded, which adds to their woes.
