Date Sold 6/24/2021 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. 13 Original Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Movie Stills (Learn More) Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, the classic 1985 Tim Burton "man-child" screwball romantic adventure comedy ("The Story of a Rebel and his Bike."; "An action packed, suspense filled, laughter laden comedy extravaganza"; about Pee-Wee's travels across the country trying to get his amazing bike back) starring Paul Reubens (in the title role as his Pee-Wee Herman persona), Elizabeth Daily, Mark Holton, Diane Salinger, and Judd Omen NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that these stills appear in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower right of each still. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". A collector has told us that he believes this means the stills were printed for use in areas that included French-speaking parts of Canada, but that they WERE printed in the U.S., and that makes complete sense to us (and we have seen this on stills from the 1940s through the early 2000s, so it has certainly been done for an extremely long time)! So they are original stills from 1985, but they were printed partially for use in French-speaking Canada. If anyone knows more about this, please e-mail us and we will post it here.
