An Undated (probably 1940s) Re-Release Theatrical Linenbacked Mexican Movie Poster (measures approximately 27" x 37" [69 x 94 cm]) (Learn More)

Aguila o Sol (literally translates to "Eagle or Sun"), the 1938 Arcady Boytler Mexican musical comedy melodrama (about three abandoned babies who grow up to become friends and create a stage act) starring Cantinflas (in the title role as Polito Sol), Manuel Medel (Cantinflas and Medel are billed collectively as "Cantinflas y Medel"), Margarita Mora, Marina Tamayo, Luis G. Barreiro, Tona La Negra, and and Manuel Arvide. Note that this was Cantinflas' third movie, and his second where he appeared with Manuel Medel. After this, Cantinflas went out on his own (with the blessing of Medel), and he became a giant star! It appears this movie was never released in the U.S. If anyone knows more about this movie, please e-mail us and we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds and minor fold and border wear. Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was nicely backed, and displays well!
