A 1948 Re-release Vintage Theatrical 8" x 10 1/4" Movie Still (Learn More) A Slight Case of Murder, the 1938 Lloyd Bacon mob alcohol liquor bootlegging organized crime comedy thriller (based on the play by Damon Runyon) ("Edward G. Robinson in Damon Runyon's blazing story of the Mobster who murdered and laughed!") starring Edward G. Robinson, Jane Bryan, Margaret Hamilton, Allen Jenkins, Willard Parker, Ruth Donnelly, Edward Brophy, Harold Huber, Bobby Jordan, Paul Harvey, and George E. Stone NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still appears in every way to be original U.S. release EXCEPT that there is one very tiny line of French type in the lower left. It reads, "IMPRIME AUX ETATS-UNIS D'AMERIQUE". It seems reasonable that this movie might have been one of the very first U.S. movies released in France after it was liberated from the Germans, and so this still is likely from that very first French release, perhaps in 1945 or 1946.
