An Original 1964 (from the first release of this movie in Italy) Vintage Theatrical Folded Italian Photobusta Movie Poster (pbusta; measures 18 3/4" x 26 1/4" [48 x 67 cm]) (Learn More)

West 11, the 1963 Michael Winner English crime thriller melodrama (about a down-on-his-luck former criminal who is drawn back in, despite his best efforts to go straight) starring Alfred Lynch, Kathleen Breck, Eric Portman, Diana Dors, and Kathleen Harrison. Note that this was one of a number of movies English director Michael Winner directed in the early 1960s. Nine years later, he would make "The Mechanic" with Charles Bronson, which would lead to "Death Wish" two years later, which was a giant hit. When he was making this movie, Winner says that the producer of the movie turned down Oliver Reed, Sean Connery, Julie Christie, and Suzan Farmer for the lead roles, saying they were not big enough "names". The producer also turned down James Mason, saying that he was "washed up"! Winner says that the experiences with this producer made him decide to always produce his own movies in the future! Also, Diana Dors was hired for this movie, no doubt hoping to capitalize on her sex symbol fame from the mid 1950s, and the only poster art we have seen is from an Italian poster, where Dors is predominantly illustrated!

If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. There is a series of small holes that form numbers (typical of Italian posters of this period) near one edge but it is not very noticeable or distracting. It is otherwise in nice condition!
