An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded English Double Crown Movie Poster (DC; measures 20" x 30" [51 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Pimple As a Ballet Dancer (also released as "Pimple At It Again"), the 1913 Fred Evans & Joe Evans English silent comedy short ("He learns to dance"; in this short comedy Pimple learns to dance, but he is taught by a ballerina and can only dance ballet!) starring Fred Evans (in the title role as Pimple), and Joe Evans. Note that Pimple was a popular character in a series of British short comedies and the this short was directed by both Fred Evans and his brother Joe Evans! If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this is an extremely rare "country of origin" poster (that we have never auctioned before) for this English movie from before World War II (and we have only ever auctioned two other posters from this series, and both of those were from the same remarkable collection this poster originated from, and we are now auctioning two different "Pimple" posters in two separate auctions)! Virtually no English posters survive from before World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards. Also note that this poster was folded at one time but has been laying flat for a long time and will be sent rolled in a tube. Condition: very good. The poster was tri-folded only and has very minor fold wear. It has a few creases and small stains around the edges, but has generally survived very well given its age!
