An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie 8" x 10" [20 x 25 cm] Key Book Still (Learn More) For Me and My Gal, the 1942 Busby Berkeley New York City Broadway theater stage acting romantic musical ("Greatest musical show ever to thrill your heart!"; "Screen play by Richard Sherman, Fred Finklehoffe and Sid Silvers"; "Original Story by Howard Emmett Rogers") starring Judy Garland, George Murphy, Gene Kelly, Martha Eggerth, Ben Blue, and Richard Quine. Note that this was Gene Kelly's very first movie, but because he was already a Broadway dancing star, he was given a lead role in his first time out! NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this still is a key book still, printed on a heavy paper, with three punch holes in the left (with a linen strip on the back of the holes, for reinforcement). Many studios spent extra money to have their most special photos, the key book stills, either backed with linen or printed on a heavy paper, both of which enhanced their durability. They had punch holes, because of how they were stored. Key book stills are far more rare than regular stills, which has increased their popularity among collectors, since only a few keybooks were manufactured per film, and a key book still is guaranteed to be authentic.
