A 1953 Re-release Vintage Theatrical Movie Lobby Card (measures 11" x 14") (Learn More) Overland Stage Raiders, the 1938 George Sherman cowboy western ("Based on characters created by William Colt MacDonald") starring The Three Mesquiteers (John Wayne, Ray 'Crash' Corrigan, and Max 'Alibi' Terhune), Louise Brooks, and Anthony Marsh. Note that pre-talkie star Louise Brooks turned her back on Hollywood in 1929, and went to Europe and made some memorable films. In the early 1930s she attempted to return to Hollywood (minus her trademark flapper hairdo), but met with little success. She is prominently billed in this movie, but is not pictured on the posters. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that this lobby card was a sepia lobby card (brown colored only). Someone went to a huge amount of effort and hand-colored the entire card! NOTE: Most lobby cards from before 1940 (and some from after that date) did not have individual lobby card numbers like later lobby cards (those printed after the advent of NSS in 1940) did. So we have arbitrarily assigned numbers to unnumbered lobby cards, only when we sell more than one from a set, so that there is a convenient way to tell different scenes apart. (Note that we do not use #1, because this is commonly used to signify the title card). The exception to this is sets of cards that did not have title cards. Condition: good.
