An Original Vintage Theatrical Paperbacked Window Card Movie Poster (measures 14" x 22") (Learn More) The Sea Hawk, the 1940 Michael Curtiz swashbuckling romantic pirate adventure thriller ("Never before so many thrills! Never such adventure, such romance! Sail to high adventure with 'The Robin Hood of the Sea'!"; set in the time of the war between England and Spain, and the English navy has had no success against the Spanish armada, and in desperation, Queen Elizabeth hires a buccaneer to see what he can do, and of course, he has much success!) starring Errol Flynn, Brenda Marshall, Claude Rains, Donald Crisp, Flora Robson (as Queen Elizabeth I), Alan Hale Sr., and Henry Daniell NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that this poster has been paperbacked. This means the poster was backed onto a board backing (acid-free), that is similar in feel to that of the original poster (except somewhat heavier). It is a similar process to linenbacking, except that most collectors use linenbacking for one-sheets and paperbacking for half-sheets, inserts, and window cards. Condition: very good. prior to restoration, the window card was in good to very good condition; it appears that the borders of the card were somewhat tattered and had water stains and that there were many light creases and scuffs within the image area; the expert restoration has greatly minimized these defects. You can still see slight traces of them from close up, but from any distance away they pretty much vanish and this window card looks wonderful, and there is only a small amount paint restoration within the image area!
