a John Wayne stock poster used by theaters to advertise re-released (and in some countries, the first release) John Wayne cowboy western movies. Theaters would order this poster, which has a large blank area where the title of the specific film being shown could be added, thus getting many posters for the price of one

Important Added Info: Note that in the case of this poster, the theater was showing the 1934 John Wayne movie, "The Trail Beyond", and that title has been neatly overprinted in the area at bottom center. Note that this three-sheet was printed in 3 sections designed to overlap.

Condition: good. There is much paper tape on the back of parts of the borders. There are pinholes around the edges. There are some creases and several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. There are some creases, smudges, and tiny tears on the other foldlines, and some tiny paper loss at some crossfolds.
