David Wark Griffith, the 1980 Portuguese poster promoting a retrospective of the works of D.W. Griffith to be held at the Cinemateca Portuguesa in Lisbon. Griffith was one of the most famous directors of all time, and some of his movies include: Intolerance: Love's Struggle Throughout the Ages, and The Birth of a Nation (the movie he is best remembered for, but which is extremely controversial today, because of its depiction of post-Civil-War-era black African Americans).
