An Original Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked Three-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 41" x 81") (Learn More) Fog Bound, the 1923 Irvin Willat silent romantic melodrama ("By Jack Bechdolt"; about a New York playboy visiting his Florida estate, and he gets mixed up with the daughter of a federal agent at a gambling casino, but when a man is killed, he becomes the lead suspect, and the daughter doesn't know what to think) starring Dorothy Dalton, David Powell, Martha Mansfield, Maurice Costello, Jack Richardson, and Ella Miller (as Mammy). Note that David Powell was a Scottish leading man in silent movies with a promising future (he made 52 movies between 1914 and 1925, including as Boston Blackie). But his career ended in 1925 when he caught "bronchopneumonia" and quickly passed away, and now he is solely remembered by major film buffs. Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: This three-sheet was printed in 2 sections. Condition: good to very good. The poster appears to have had an odd defect! Apparently, the bottom of the "g" of "Fog" in the title (which was printed on a separate section of the poster) was printed white, and so it did not match the coloring of the other letters of the title (the person who backed the poster attempted to match the color, but they did a poor job of it). The poster was generally in pretty nice condition especially considering its age, but it was mounted many years ago on a very thin linen, and it is "lifting" from the linen in several places, and has slightly creased in some areas. If I owned this poster, I would surely have it re-backed. After proper re-backing, the poster will look great, and there will be little paint restoration anywhere on the poster, except in the area described above (any restorer should not have a problem matching the correct color of the bottom of the letter "g"). Overall, the poster was in very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed, and looks great! Learn More about condition grades
