An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Glass Slide (measures approximately 3" x 4") (Learn More) The Mystery of the Wax Museum, the 1933 Michael Curtiz New York City horror murder thriller ("Wax or flesh? --- you'll never solve 'The Mystery of the Wax Museum'"; "Better than Dr. X"; Lionel Atwill plays "Mr. Igor", owner of a wax museum which is burned down by his partner for the insurance money; Mr. Igor's hands are burned trying to rescue his wax figures, which are all destroyed, and years later, because he can't sculpt wax figures anymore, thanks to his burned hands, he begins killing beautiful women and dipping them in wax, for his new wax museum!) starring Lionel Atwill, Fay Wray, Glenda Farrell, Frank McHugh, Allen Vincent, Edwin Maxwell, Gavin Gordon, Monica Bannister, and Arthur Edmund Carewe. Note that this movie was remade in 1953 with Vincent Price and Charles Bronson, and it was re-titled "House of Wax". NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that movie memorabilia items from this legendary early horror movie are extremely scarce. I have never seen this really cool image before, and I don't believe it was used for any other sort of advertising! Also note that glass slides were designed to be put in a special projector that would project the image onto a movie screen (they use exactly the same concept as 35mm slides). We have taken a digital photo of each that shows the general condition of the overall slide and holder, and we have also made a digital scan that shows the glass image well, but does not show the holder (except as a dark outline). Condition: fine. This glass slide is in really excellent condition, and we feel that EVERY collector would be happy to own it. It IS possible it may have a MINOR defect or defects, but nothing at all significant. But we bet many dealers would call items in this grade "mint" or "near mint"! Learn More about condition grades
