An Original Vintage Theatrical Tri-Folded English One-Sheet Movie Poster (1sh; measures 27 1/2" x 41 1/4" [70 x 105 cm]) (Learn More)

A Welcome Intruder, the 1913 Anthony O'Sullivan (see below) silent family relationship farm melodrama short (cinematography by G.W. 'Billy' Bitzer, D.W. Griffith's longtime cinematographer) starring Charles Hill Mailes, Kate Toncray, Charles West, W. Chrystied Miller, Joseph McDermott, Frank Opperman, Claire McDowell, Adolph Lestina, and Williiam A. Carroll. Note that posters for this film are very rare and we have only auctioned a tiny number of them over the years. Also, note that some sources state that D.W. Griffith directed this film. However, O'Sullivan's personal scrapbook and promotional material from 1913 prove otherwise.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know.
Important Added Info: Note that virtually no English posters survive from before World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards. Note that this English one-sheet measures 27 1/2" x 41 1/4" [70 x 105 cm]. Also note that this poster was tri-folded only (which means there is no vertical machine fold) but because it would be more expensive to send flat, it will be sent rolled in a tube.

Condition: very good. There are small tears and creases in the top border and some minor fold wear, but overall the poster has survived in about as nice condition as one can hope from a 111 year old poster!
