For Me and My Gal, the 1942 Busby Berkeley New York City Broadway theater stage acting romantic musical ("Greatest musical show ever to thrill your heart!"; "Screen play by Richard Sherman, Fred Finklehoffe and Sid Silvers"; "Original Story by Howard Emmett Rogers") starring Judy Garland, George Murphy, Gene Kelly, Martha Eggerth, Ben Blue, and Richard Quine. Note that this was Gene Kelly's very first movie, but because he was already a Broadway dancing star, he was given a lead role in his first time out!

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: fair to good. The poster had paper loss at each crossfold. It had a second vertical foldline 1/2" to right of the regular one, with some tears between the two foldlines. It had small paper loss in the left of the top horizontal fold (above the "Y" of "JUDY" in the white background) and minor wear on the other folds. It had some pinholes and small tears in the borders. Overall, the poster was in fair to good condition prior to linenbacking. Someone backed it onto linen without really performing any restoration. Certainly, the poster should be given to a talented restorer to either re-back or perform additional restoration. But either way, bear this expense in mind before placing a bid on this poster.
