Date Sold 12/11/2011Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. An Original Vintage Theatrical Movie Title Lobby Card (LC TC; measures 11" x 14" [28 x 36 cm]) (Learn More) Betty of Greystone, the 1916 Allan Dwan ("supervised by D.W. Griffith") silent romantic love triangle melodrama starring Dorothy Gish (in the title role as Betty Lockwood), Owen Moore, George Fawcett, Kate Bruce, and Albert Tavernier NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. Important Added Info: Note that original first release lobby cards from 1916 movies are incredibly rare (studios did not make lobby cards at all until late 1915). Note only is this an original 1916 lobby card, but it is from a D.W. Griffith movie, and it is the earliest Griffith lobby card I have ever seen (plus it is a title card!). Condition: fair. The card has pinholes and tears around the edges, with paper loss in the top right (fortunately, solely background area and the solid border are affected, so it could be easily restored). A tiny piece of the bottom right corner was completely detached and was re-attached with a piece of conservation tape from the reverse. Learn More about condition grades
