Appears in Vintage Hollywood Posters 9 CATALOG SOLD OUT The image at right appears in the auction catalog we published as shown above and was sold long ago and we do NOT have it available for purchase. An Undated (probably 1944) Re-release Vintage Theatrical Linenbacked One-Sheet Movie Poster (measures 27" x 41") (Learn More) The Walking Dead, the 1936 Michael Curtiz horror fantasy murderer revenge melodrama ("He died a man with a hunger to love and returned a monster with an instinct to kill!"; "Karloff is coming from beyond the grave!"; about a man who is framed for a murder he didn't commit and is then executed, which would normally be "the end of the story", but in this case, a scientist invents a way to bring him back from the dead, and naturally, he wants to find those who framed him and get revenge!) starring Boris Karloff, Ricardo Cortez, Edmund Gwenn, Marguerite Churchill, Warren Hull, Addison Richards, Barton MacLane, Robert Strange, Paul Harvey, and Henry O'Neill NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Condition: good to very good. The poster had tiny paper loss at the crossfolds. There were creases and smudges along the foldlines. There were pinholes, creases, tears, and some tiny areas of paper loss around the edges of the poster. There was some writing on the back of the center of the poster that slightly bled through in the area at the bottom of the woman's dress and the top of the title and in the bottom left of Karloff's face. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was well backed. The person who backed the poster chose to paint over much of the solid colored areas in the poster (the red in the title, the green background, and the white in Karloff's face), but it was extremely well done, and one does not have a sense of the poster being heavily restored. I would think most collectors would be happy to display this great Karloff image on their wall! Learn More about condition grades
