An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded French One-Panel "Grande" Movie Poster (1p; measures 47" x 63" [119 x 160 cm]) (Learn More) Neal Hart Sauve L'enfant (literally translates to "Neal Hart Saves the Child"), the 1920 French poster (with a tagline that translates to "Dramatic scene from the Wild West") promoting a silent cowboy western film starring Neal Hart, and featuring art of Neal Hart with a young boy. We found a 1920 French review of this that describes a "terrible sandstorm" within the movie, so that might be an important clue in determining which movie it is. If anyone knows exactly which Neal Hart movie it is promoting, please e-mail us and we will post it here. NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography. If you know who did the art (if any), please let us know. Important Added Info: Note that we have never auctioned an example of this poster before! This is an extremely rare French poster from before World War II! Virtually no French posters survive from before World War II since apparently there were many paper shortages in Europe during World War II, resulting in the destruction of almost all posters from before and World War II, and also from during the war, and the first few years afterwards. Condition: fair. There is separation, darkening, tears, and paper loss on parts of the folds, with some tears and paper loss in the borders, and some small brown stains scattered throughout the poster. Several areas of paper loss and fold separation are significant (see our image) and this makes the poster quite fragile.
