Important Added Info: Note that this poster was printed in two sections and measures 35 3/4" x 60 1/4". For unknown reasons, Japanese poster makers made both this size (which consisted of two panels that each measured approximately 18" x 30", and which measured around 36" x 60" overall), but they also made a regular two-panel poster, which are exactly twice the size of a Japanese "B2", and which we refer to as "Japanese two-panel posters". This was done from at least the early 1960s through the early 1970s, but we don't know if it was done earlier or later as well. We also don't know if there is an official Japanese term for this size poster (which sometimes varies slightly from the measurements of this poster, and which sometimes can be found in one section or in two sections), but if someone e-mails us further information about this size, we will post it here.

Overall Condition and Pre-Restoration Defects with Quality of Restoration: good to very good. The poster had small paper loss at some crossfolds and some creases, tears, and tiny paper loss on many parts of some foldlines. Overall, the poster was in good to very good condition prior to linenbacking. The poster was pretty well backed, but you can see signs of the above defects and the restoration of the above defects, and after it was backed, it was roughly handled, and there are now creases in the top and bottom of the vertical foldline (both in the poster and in the linen itself).
