A Dash of Courage, the 1916 Charley Chase silent mistaken identity crime comedy short (a clever story of a gang of thieves who are on a train with a police commissioner who is going to visit another city; they chloroform him and the head of the gang trades clothes with him, and when the train arrives, he poses as the commissioner, and after they arrive, his men chloroform local police and trade places with them; Gloria Swanson, in one of her earliest roles, plays the daughter of the man whose identity is switched for the gang leader!) starring Harry Gribbon, Guy Woodward, Gloria Swanson (in her fourth credited role), Bobby Vernon, and Wallace Beery (in his fourth year of making movies). Note that this is a "lost" film, which means that no surviving copies are thought to exist.
NOTE: Click on linked names to see a biography.
Important Added Info: Note that virtually no movie paper of any kind likely survives from this super early comedy short, but what makes it so wonderful, is that Gloria Swanson is prominently pictured (plus it shows Wallace Beery as well)!

Condition: good to very good. There is tiny paper loss in each blank corner, with a few creases, faint smudges, and tiny tears around the edges.
