Date Sold 2/20/2011 Sold For: Login or Register to see sold price. miscellaneous items (Learn More) a lot of 27 ad sheets and stills from the 1965 re-release of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho, the classic 1960 Alfred Hitchcock (nominated for the Best Director Academy Award) psychotic slasher horror thriller ("The master of suspense moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored!"; "A new - and altogether different - screen excitement!!!"; "The master of suspense-showman creates something new - and altogether different - in screen excitement!!!"; "Alfred Hitchcock's new and altogether different screen excitement!"; "The screen's master of suspence moves his cameras into the icy blackness of the unexplored."; based on the novel by Robert Bloch; "Screenplay by Joseph Stefano") starring Anthony Perkins (as Norman Bates), Vera Miles, John Gavin, Martin Balsam, John McIntire, and Janet Leigh (in her nominated for Best Supporting Actress Academy Award role; "as Marion Crane"). These were apparently received by a theater to help them promote the movie when it was re-released in 1965 and they sent the stills and some other material to a newspaper where it was used for ads, and after it was returned, the items were saved.
