An Original Vintage Theatrical Folded Australian Daybill Movie Poster (db; measures 9 3/4" x 30" [25 x 76 cm]) (Learn More) Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, the 1944 Lewis Allen Europe romantic travel comedy ("From the gay best seller that stole America's heart!"; "Based on the book 'Our Hearts Were Young and Gay' by Cornelia Otis Skinner and Emily Kimbrough"; about a real life trip that young actress Cornelia Otis Skinner, daughter of famed actor Otis Skinner, took to Europe with her best friend; the book was a best seller, and was then turned into this enjoyable movie!) starring Gail Russell ("of 'The Uninvited'"), Diana Lynn ("of 'The Miracle of Morgan's Creek'"), Charlie Ruggles, Dorothy Gish, Beulah Bondi, James Brown, and Bill Edwards. Artist: Richardson Studio Important Added Info: Note that for a brief time during World War II (WWII) Australia printed their daybills in a 10" x 30" format (no doubt to conserve on paper, because they had been printing daybills in a 15" x 40" size, and by going to 10" x 30", they were able to print four daybills with the same amount of paper they used to print two!). The poster is NOT trimmed! Condition: very good. There are two extra horizontal folds and some small tears in the left border. There are tiny dot stains at the left end of the bottom foldline.
