An Original Vintage Spider-Man Comic Book (Learn More)

Marvel Tales is the title of several comic-book series starting in the 1930s. The first publication was the magazine Marvel Tales, also known as Marvel Tales of Science and Fantasy, published from 1934 to 1935. The next was a pulp magazine from future Marvel Comics publisher Martin Goodman which were released under the names Marvel Science Stories, Marvel Tales, Marvel Stories and Marvel Science Fiction from 1938 to 1952. In comic books, the first Marvel Tales was the continuation of the superhero anthology Marvel Mystery Comics, published by Marvel Comics' initial iteration, Timely Comics. The bulk of this series run was published by Marvel's 1950s iteration, Atlas Comics. In the 1960s, during the Silver Age of Comics, the Marvel Tales series began as a summer special, and the first annual gathered superhero origin stories for Spider-Man, Ant-Man, Iron Man, Thor and more. Marvel Tales was cancelled with issue #291 in 1994
